The opportunity

EY is seeking a Senior to join our Technology Risk team supporting external audit engagements (IT Audit) as well as third party assurance engagements (IT Attestation). This professional will support engagement teams and directly assist clients in utilizing information systems, resources, and controls to maximize efficiencies and minimize risks. The successful candidate will collaborate with client personnel to analyze, evaluate, and enhance information systems that support the business's internal control processes.

Additionally, they will assist clients and other IT professionals in conducting information technology (IT) control and security engagements.

Your key responsibilities

Management of Audit Engagements:

Provide high-quality professional management of internal and external audit projects.

Understand EY’s practices and service offerings, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.

On-Site Coordination:

Lead and support on-site coordination for audit clients, including planning and briefing the team on the client's IT environment and industry trends.

Coach and mentor staff, ensuring effective communication with clients and successful completion of audit engagements.

Client Relationship Management:

Maintain strong relationships with client management to manage expectations regarding service delivery, work products, and timelines.

Deliver value to clients by aligning services with their specific needs and industry challenges.

Preparation of Audit Reports:

Prepare comprehensive IT audit reports assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of control structures.

Provide practical recommendations to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of controls and processes.

Issue Resolution:

Discuss and resolve IT audit issues and recommendations with client management, fostering a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Understanding of Information Systems:

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex information systems and apply this knowledge to client situations, ensuring relevant insights are provided.

Skills and attributes for success

A passion to contribute to the growth of the practice

Ability to coach and mentor junior staff on engagements.

Hands on experience with enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP S4/HANA, Oracle Financials or JD Edwards.

Highly professional with ability to work in challenging, diverse and evolving client environments

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The ability to build strong client relationships

Strong team working skills

What we are looking for

A minimum of 2 years of experience in IT external and/or internal audit;

Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other relevant program required.

Possessing relevant accounting / audit designation(s) or working towards one ( CISA).

Demonstrated knowledge of COSO, COBIT, ITIL, or other IT frameworks would be as asset.

Proficiency using SharePoint and MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, One Note and Power Point

Willingness to travel
