Seeking an AI Software Developer skilled in Generative AI, PySpark and Databricks to build and productionize AI and Analytics solutions.
Duration: 6 months to start - possibility of extension
Work: % remote (preference is for candidates in Calgary but as long as you are willing to work MST hours that if okay).
Must Have Skills
Previous experience as a software developer on AI and analytics solutions
.Strong proficiency in Databricks and Py Spark building scalable data pipelines and transformationsHands-on experience with Generative AI
, OpenAI APIs
, RAG
, and vector search/embeddingsFamiliarity with computer vision techniques for document understandingExperience with Azure data and AI services (e.g., Azure Document Intelligence)Proficiency in SQL and Delta Lake/lakehouse architecturesExperience building ETL/ELT workflows and orchestrating pipelines (e.g., Databricks Workflows)Strong Angular
, Type Script , and HTML/CSS development skillsUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practicesNice to Have Skills
Prior experience working on AI document processing or document understanding solutionsExposure to ML
machine learning model deployment and monitoring in productionFamiliarity with data governance and MLOps practicesStrong Data Science background is preferredWhat you will be doing:
Serve as the software developer for multiple AI and analytics initiatives.Initially assigned to our Engineering Document AI solution/initiativePrototype and productionize AI/ML solutions for new business problemsSupport experimentation, model development, and data pipelinesCollaborate with analytics, engineering, and business stakeholders on emerging AI use cases
