Our client is seeking a IT Governance & Assurance Analyst to strengthen oversight of IT systems, controls, and processes across both corporate and operational technology environments
Location: Calgary, AB (Onsite, Downtown)
Term: 6-month contract with possible extension
Must have:
5+ years of experience in IT Governance, Audit, or IT Risk Management within large, complex organizationsProven experience conducting IT systems and controls audits (e.g., SOX, ISO , COBIT, NIST, or similar frameworks)Hands-on experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and ITIL practicesStrong ability to evaluate and document IT controls, risks, and mitigation strategiesExperience with Service Now or other governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) or ITSM platformsNice to have:
Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) or Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environmentsExperience in Oil & Gas or other regulated, asset-intensive industriesUnderstanding of c
ybersecurity controls and compliance assuranceCertification(s) such as:CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)COBIT or ITIL v4 CertificationCRISC or CISMResponsibilities include:
1. Conducting regular audits and assessments of IT systems and processes to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
2. Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement effective IT governance frameworks and policies.
3. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of existing controls and recommending enhancements as needed.
4. Providing guidance and support to team members on IT risk management and compliance matters.
5. Preparing and presenting detailed reports on audit findings and recommendations to senior management.
