Our client is seeking a
Senior Quality Assurance Analyst (Hybrid, Calgary) to lead comprehensive QA efforts across integrated IT systems, specializing in both manual and automation testing to ensure robust, secure, and high-performing solutions in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Must Have skills
10 years Manual testing (functional, integration, system, performance, UAT) Full software delivery lifecycle experienceAutomation experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNGAzure Dev Ops for test management and traceabilityStrong SQL and database testing (
Oracle, SQL Server
)Root cause analysis and defect triage managementISTQB Foundation or Advanced Level certificationAPI testing tools:
Postman, SoapUI, Rest AssuredExperience with Azure, microservices, cloud platforms, data pipelinesMessaging platform testing (queues, topics, publish/subscribe)Vendor collaboration on SaaS/COTS Business Acceptance TestingEnergy/utilities industry domain expertiseResponsibilities
Lead and execute QA strategies across functional, non-functional, regression, UAT, and API testingPerform manual, automated, API, backend, and data validation testing (incl. Power BI and cloud systems)Build and maintain automation frameworks and scripts (Selenium, Cypress, etc.)Manage defect lifecycle: triage, root cause analysis, coordination, and resolutionCoordinate end-to-end testing and support UAT readiness and go/no-go decisionsReview and analyze business/technical requirements to identify gaps and ensure complete test coverageCollaborate with cross-functional teams throughout SDLC/STLCExecute testing for integrations, data resilience, and third-party SaaS validationsContinuously improve QA practices, tools, and methodologies#LI-TF1
