Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Business Solutions Analyst to join our client's Business Performance team , driving system, data, and process automation across the organization. This position focuses on developing and deploying technical solutions that enhance operational efficiency, support digital transformation, and optimize land and well data workflows.
You should be a proactive, analytical professional with strong facilitation skills, deep technical expertise, and proven experience in change management, data analytics, and automation within the oil and gas sector
  • Location: Calgary, AB
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 am to 4:30pm
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 12-month contract

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support the delivery of business process, system, and data automation initiatives through technology assessments, requirement gathering, testing, and deployment.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to capture needs, validate requirements, and drive consensus.
  • Translate complex business challenges into actionable technical solutions.
  • Build and optimize automation, reporting, and analytics solutions using:
    Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
  • Azure application development
  • Python scripting
  • Spotfire
  • Support systems and workflows related to land and well data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, land, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure solution adoption.
  • Drive change management activities, including documentation, communication, training, and user support.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong working relationships across departments.
  • Develop process maps, data models, and documentation to support system improvements.
  • Identify automation opportunities and recommend enhancements to tools, workflows, and data structures.
  • Ensure that all solutions align with business goals, IT standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Petroleum Technology, Computer Science, Business Analysis, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in the oil and gas industry, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong background in data, analytics, reporting, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience facilitating cross-functional meetings.
  • Ability to translate business needs into actionable technical solutions.
  • Experience with land and well data environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in automation, reporting, and system integration tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly.
  • Advanced business analysis proficiency including:
    • Requirements gathering
    • Validation and testing
    • Facilitation and stakeholder engagement
    • Process mapping and data modeling
    • Change management
  • Hands-on experience with upstream Land and Well applications, such as:
    • Well View
    • Site View
    • CS Land
    • Execute
    • StackDX
  • Advanced technical experience with:
    • Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps
    • Azure application development
    • Python scripting
    • Spotfire analytics
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
