Our large, enterprise Oil and Gas industry client is seeking a Senior Network Analyst to provide Cisco routing and switching support and Palo Alto firewall support across an IT and OT environment.
This is an initial 1-year contract with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be based in Calgary and agreeable to working 5 days per week (full-time) onsite within the heart of downtown Calgary!
Must-Haves:
10+ years' professional experience as a networking support professional in a technically complex, distributed environment4+ years'
Cisco routing and switching experienceStrong professional experience supporting and administering Palo Alto firewallsNice-to-Haves:
Oil and Gas industry experience with exposure to both IT and OT environmentsExperience with networking monitoring solutions, ideally Solar WindsCloud experience with Azure and/or AWS environmentsResponsibilities Overview:
Monitor and support corporate IT and OT Network Operations with a focus on firewalls, routing, switching, and wireless technologiesDesign and implement / configure new network technology solutions and network expansionsMonitor, investigate, and respond to relevant network incidents within the IT and OT environmentsWork with ISP’s and other third-party vendors as needed to resolve network performance issues and coordinate on any adds / moves / changes related to the network environmentIdentify opportunities to improve efficiencies within the network environment, both through technology and support processesDocument architecture and configurations to help with knowledge transfer and cross-training with other members of the infrastructure team and the IT departmentParticipate in the development of technical road maps
