Calgary Associate Scientist, RNAi Research

Contribute to groundbreaking RNA science with Canary Cure Therapeutics as an Associate Scientist focused on RNAi technologies in a full-time role in Calgary, Alberta. Drive research on therapeutic solutions for obesity through innovative experimental designs.

As a key member of the team, you will design and implement in vitro and in vivo experiments, analyze results, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. This role requires maintaining rigorous documentation and adhering to safety and quality standards within the lab. Regular presentations of your findings will inform project directions and continuous improvements in lab protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute RNAi experiment designs and assays

• Analyze data using common scientific software tools

• Maintain mammalian cell lines and perform transfection

• Document experiments and ensure compliance with safety standards

• Improve laboratory workflows through effective troubleshooting

Requirements:

• Experience in RNA technologies such as siRNA and shRNA

• Hands-on skills in molecular biology techniques

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related discipline

• Ability to manage timelines and prioritize experiments
