Senior Technology Project Manager – Corporate & Commercial Banking & Credit Risk (CCB&CR) Technology Portfolio

The CCB&CR suite of applications supports the entire client journey from prospecting to funding and reporting. In this role you will drive complex technology initiatives across integrated platforms, vendor applications, and business domains. You will lead delivery rigor, governance, financial discipline, and risk management for enterprise‑critical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed project schedules/plans and own end‑to‑end delivery of large, complex initiatives across CCB&CR from initiation through closure.
- Drive execution across multiple teams—including in‑house application, engineering, architecture, infrastructure, security, data, operations, and external vendors—while managing cross‑platform dependencies and integration risks.
- Apply deep knowledge of PDLC and SDLC to structure and guide project delivery.
- Establish and maintain delivery governance, including project charters, integrated schedules, RAID logs, financial tracking, and executive reporting.
- Proactively identify and manage technology, regulatory, and operational risks in a controlled banking environment to meet PMO and compliance standards.
- Own financial management for initiatives, including budget planning, forecasting, vendor spend, and reconciliation across teams.
- Act as the primary delivery interface for Technology leadership, delivering clear, tailored communication to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Partner with Business and Operations teams to ensure solutions are production‑ready, scalable, and support end‑to‑end client and employee journeys.
- Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability, resolving delivery issues decisively and adapting plans as portfolio priorities, funding, or technology direction evolves.
- Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and/or related certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project management experience of 6–8 years.
- Proven technology project management in enterprise environments, delivering large, complex initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Project Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience owning initiatives end‑to‑end across multiple platforms, teams, and vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to construct and operate within delivery governance frameworks.
- Strong financial rigor, including managing project budgets and forecasts.
- Clear, adaptable communication skills across engineering, leadership, and business audiences.
- Hands‑on experience with PM artifacts such as RAID logs, schedules, charters, status reporting.
- Strong conflict resolution and issue navigation skills.
- Proficiency with PM tools (Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint).
- Nice to have: experience in Commercial Lending, Credit Risk, or Banking platforms; PM certifications (e.g., PMP); experience supporting cloud, data, or AI‑enabled initiatives; experience in a hybrid, distributed delivery workplace.
Salary range: $86,000.00 – $ (BMO Financial Group). Compensation may vary by location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications. Pay is salaried with potential performance‑based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other rewards.
