About this role
We're looking for someone who's genuinely hard to find. Analytics in a custom manufacturing business demands two things that rarely sit comfortably in the same person: the rigour to stand behind every number — to trace a KPI back to its formula, its source, and the decision it's meant to support — and the curiosity to put modern AI tools to work, using Microsoft Copilot and Power BI's AI features to turn raw data into a clear story in a fraction of the time.
The catch is judgment: we don't want someone who blindly pastes whatever the model produces, and we don't want someone who refuses to use the tools want the person in the middle — fast with AI, but the final set of eyes that confirms it's accurate, relevant, and actually true to the business.
- Engineering analytics
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve dashboards tracking drafting hours, capacity loading, milestone performance versus baseline, and rework trends
- Analyze hours expended versus budget by drafting activity and product group, and run department loading analysis to flag capacity, leveling, and resource risks early
- Prepare variance and root-cause reporting for leadership and manager review
- Pull rework hours from timesheet data, categorize quality and rework drivers, and support structured corrective-action discussions
- Reinforce accurate time tracking and data coding across the drafting team to protect data integrity
- Sales & business development analytics
- Analyze sales performance by product line, region, channel, and salesperson; track revenue, conversion rates, average deal size, and pipeline health
- Prepare sales forecasts and demand projections, and support quota setting and territory planning
- Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance reporting
- Use Microsoft Copilot, Power BI AI features, and AI-assisted tools to accelerate report creation, generate automated narrative summaries (what changed and why it matters), and support variance explanation and trend identification — then validate every AI-generated output for accuracy, relevance, and business context
- CRM, data quality & governance
- Own Hub Spot data hygiene and governance; keep opportunity, pipeline, and customer data accurate and complete, and analyze deal progression and stage velocity
- Define and maintain EIL's KPI dictionary — definitions, formulas, owners, refresh cadence, data source, and the decision each metric supports
- Implement automated data-quality checks (completeness, duplicates, stage hygiene, time-coding accuracy, outliers) with exception reporting, and run monthly data-quality reviews with functional owners
- Cross-functional & executive support
- Deliver custom reports and analysis on request from leadership
- Prepare the Monthly Sales Report in collaboration with senior leadership across Sales, Business Development, and Engineering
- Identify underperforming areas and emerging growth opportunities, and turn them into clear, data-driven recommendations
- A bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related discipline
- 2–4 years in a business, engineering, or commercial analytics environment
- Practical, hands‑on experience using AI tools to support analysis and reporting — Microsoft Copilot, Power BI AI features, AI-assisted Excel — paired with the judgment to know when the output is right and when it isn't
- Strong Excel (Power Pivot a bonus) and the discipline to standardize templates that feed reliable reporting
- Working proficiency across Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint/One Drive), Hub Spot CRM, and Power BI
- SQL for querying and joining data; experience with APIs/connectors (Hub Spot to Power BI) is a strong asset, and Microsoft Fabric or Azure data tools are a bonus
- Genuinely explicit communication — the ability to take a tangle of data and hand leadership a story they can act on
- Statistical thinking (trends, seasonality, forecasting logic) and familiarity with structured problem solving: root cause, variance analysis, corrective action
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) is considered an asset, not a requirement
- Primarily office-based…
