Our energy and resources client is seeking a Senior SAP Data Analyst to support a complex and enterprise-wide data migration into SAP S/4 HANA.

This role drives end-to-end data migration across SAP ECC and other legacy platforms, ensuring high quality, validated data for S/4

HANA go‑live. The position offers deep engagement with technical and business stakeholders to resolve data defects and achieve stable mock cycles. This is a high‑visibility opportunity supporting critical ERP modernization across the enterprise.

Duration: 1-year initial contract with a possibility of extension
Working model:
Hybrid onsite within downtown Calgary (3 days onsite/ 2 days remote)

• 5+ years in data analysis and SAP data migration within large‑scale ERP transformation programs
• Strong experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA migration from SAP ECC source systems
• Hands‑on development using SAP BODS or equivalent ETL tools
• Expertise in data validation
  , mapping
  , cleansing
  , and reconciliation for migration readiness
• Experience producing reports and dashboards with Power BI and advanced Excel

• Previous experience with SAP master data objects such as Customer, Vendor, Material, and Finance
• Exposure to SAP Migration Cockpit or SAP MDG tools
• Background in large ERP projects within energy, utilities, or regulated industries
• Experience in defect and exception management during mock cycle execution

• Analyze source system data for completeness and readiness for migration
• Develop and maintain source‑to‑target mappings, transformation rules, and data object documentation
• Execute data migration mock cycles and manage defects through resolution
• Produce and validate data quality, exception, and reconciliation reports
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to align data requirements and mappings
• Support ETL development, troubleshooting, and testing of migration objects in SAP BODS
• Deliver dashboards and metrics reporting to track data quality and migration readiness
