NOC Analyst
Job Summary
A highly motivated NOC Analyst to join the Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The successful candidate will monitor, troubleshoot, and support enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of corporate and operational networks. This role serves as the first line of support (L1), managing incidents, responding to alerts, and collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and field services to restore network services efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Understanding cloud and network best practices combined with guiding principles
- Understanding the impact of network incidents on operations and organization
- Deploying Cloud Platforms and Data Networks
- Adapting existing methods and procedures to create alternative solutions to moderately complex problems
- Interpreting the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals
- Using considerable judgment to determine solutions and seek guidance on complex problems
- Managing Level 1 support for network-related incidents and service requests across all priorities
- Managing and updating tickets using ITSM tools
- Coordinating with field teams, vendors, internal network/security teams
- Ensuring all assigned tickets are actioned promptly and within SLA guidelines
- Documenting detailed updates, troubleshooting steps, and next actions in tickets
- Escalating complex or critical issues to L2/L3 teams with proper handover
- Monitoring network infrastructure using tools such as Orion and Net Scout
- Tracking network availability (nodes, links, circuits) and performance metrics (CPU, memory, bandwidth utilization)
- Responding to alerts proactively to minimize downtime and service impact
- Responding to inbound calls and emails for network-related incidents
- Following standardized call handling procedures for all interactions
- Coordinating with vendors and internal teams for issue resolution
- Ensuring minimal call abandonment and timely response to escalations
- Monitoring and acting on unassigned incident queues, NOC/shared mailboxes, planned outages, maintenance notifications, and vendor communications
- Sending service notifications and awareness updates to stakeholders as required
- Performing initial troubleshooting of network issues including connectivity failures, device/node outages, performance degradation, and identifying recurring issues and escalating appropriately
- Following up on vendor actions and ensuring timely resolution
- Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in network monitoring and management
- Hands‑on router/switch/firewall management
- Certification in network technologies such as CCNA
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong documentation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with SD WAN and SD Access
This role requires in‑office attendance.
