  • Lead Software Asset Management‑related components of enterprise initiatives or projects as the subject matter expert.
  • Research emerging software concepts and share the insights to inform policy, process, and technology decisions.
  • Provide regular dashboard reports and executive summaries on software asset status, compliance risks, and value optimization to IT leadership.
  • Compile, prioritize, schedule, and execute annual software reconciliations and renewals for complex software products, ensuring WCB complies with all usage, deployment rights and contractual obligations.

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for external software audits, leading all phases of the audit process, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and ensuring accurate data and timely resolution.
  • Interpret complex software usage data, entitlements, and licensing terms to support informed decision‑making, resolve compliance issues, and optimize the organization’s licensing position.
  • Manage licensing and subscription models for cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, etc.) and AI solutions (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, AI analytics tools, etc.).
  • Collaborate with teams to optimize SaaS and cloud subscription costs and usage.
  • Optimize software licensing spend across perpetual, subscription, cloud, and SaaS models by aligning entitlements with actual usage, harvesting licenses and enabling scalable deployment across environments.
  • Identify cost‑savings opportunities during reconciliations to maximize value for WCB’s software investments.
  • Review governing agreements to confirm requirements, use rights and limitations; complete legal review processes; and communicate contractual risks and mitigation options to business partners.
Your experience and skills
