BigID Functional Lead; Phase – B2

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced BigID Functional Lead to lead the functional design and implementation of enterprise data privacy solutions using the BigID platform. The successful candidate will work closely with Privacy, Legal, Compliance, Security, and IT teams to operationalize privacy regulations and deliver scalable privacy capabilities across the organization.

This role requires strong expertise in privacy platform implementations, regulatory compliance, functional design, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will lead the delivery of privacy capabilities including Data Discovery, Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR), Data Retention, Vendor/Third-Party Management, and AI Governance.

Key Responsibilities

Privacy Solution Design

• Lead the functional design of privacy capabilities including:
  • Data Discovery
  • Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR)
  • Data Retention
  • Vendor / Third-Party Management
  • AI Governance
• Collaborate with Privacy, Legal, Security, and IT teams to align BigID capabilities with regulatory requirements.
• Recommend and embed Privacy by Design principles into enterprise processes and workflows.

BigID Platform Implementation

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of the BigID platform and associated privacy modules.
• Configure and validate platform capabilities to support business and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot functional issues, optimize platform performance, and support upgrades and new feature rollouts.
• Provide technical documentation, user training, and ongoing support to internal stakeholders.

Regulatory Compliance

• Translate regulatory and policy requirements across North American jurisdictions into testable platform configurations.
• Support compliance with privacy regulations including:
  • PIPEDA
  • CCPA/CPRA
  • CPA and similar North American privacy frameworks
• Ensure privacy capabilities remain aligned with evolving regulatory obligations.

Functional Analysis & Delivery

• Own functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability from design through testing and deployment.
• Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, and UAT support materials.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate issue resolution.

Integration & Data Governance

• Design functional integrations between BigID and enterprise systems including:
  • Active Directory
  • Cloud Storage Platforms
  • Databases
  • IT Service Management (ITSM) and Ticketing Tools
• Support structured and unstructured data discovery, cataloging, classification, and lineage initiatives.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture and data governance teams to implement privacy best practices.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with executive stakeholders including Privacy, Compliance, Legal, and IT leadership.
• Present functional designs and implementation recommendations to business stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities across onsite and offshore teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications

• 3 5 years of experience in Data Privacy with hands-on operationalization of regulations such as PIPEDA, CCPA/CPRA, CPA, or similar privacy frameworks.
• Demonstrated ownership of enterprise privacy platform implementations such as:
  • BigID
  • One Trust
  • Securiti
  • Equivalent Privacy Platforms
• Experience implementing:
  • Data Discovery
  • Data Classification
  • DSAR Fulfillment
  • Data Retention
  • Vendor / Third-Party Management
• Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture including:
  • Structured and Unstructured Data
  • Data Cataloging
  • Data Lineage
  • Cloud Data Environments
• Experience producing functional design documentation, requirements traceability, and UAT governance artifacts.
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders including CPO/DPO-level leadership.
• Consulting experience with strong project delivery and governance capabilities.
