Join the Alberta Electric System Operator as a Service Desk Support professional. This full-time position focuses on technical assistance, incident management, and user training in a hybrid work setting.
In this critical role within the Restructured Energy Market initiative, you will be responsible for incident management and providing tier 1 technical support. Collaborate with various IT teams to ensure efficient service delivery. Your strong communication and customer service skills will help create a welcoming environment for users facing technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prioritize and manage incidents and service requests effectively
• Assist with troubleshooting of systems, software, and hardware
• Deploy IT assets including hardware and software
• Create and maintain documentation for common issues
• Conduct on-site support for end-user installations
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or IT
• At least 3 years of experience in IT support roles
• Proficient in application packaging and deployment
• Knowledge of remote desktop tools and ticketing systems
• Required driver’s license for on-site technical support
