SOC Tier 1 Analyst - Cybersecurity Focus

MNP is seeking a SOC Tier 1 Analyst to strengthen our Managed Security Services team. Contribute to cybersecurity efforts by investigating threats and enhancing client defenses.

This role allows you to continuously monitor and analyze security alerts, utilizing tools like Microsoft Sentinel. As part of a rotating shift team, you will tackle security incidents and adhere to SOPs for effective issue resolution. Bring your strong troubleshooting abilities and foundational cybersecurity knowledge to MNP, where your growth and impact matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security alerts on multiple platforms

• Conduct initial analysis of incoming alerts

• Document investigation findings in ticketing system

• Escalate high-severity incidents to Tier 2 Analysts

• Participate in shift handover for operational continuity

Requirements:

• 1-2 years working in a SOC or similar environment

• Basic understanding of core cybersecurity concepts

• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and KQL preferred

• Post-secondary education in IT or computer science

• Relevant certifications in cybersecurity are a plus
