Position: Marketing Science Director (Media Analytics)

As a Director of Marketing Science your curiosity never ends. The next question is always on your mind, helping you to demonstrate the value of analytics to internal and external stakeholders. You bring 10+ years of experience, setting the vision and being accountable for the design and implementation of data‑driven marketing strategies and insights for clients, with a demonstrated expertise in at least two of the following areas: tracking and measurement, reporting, data visualization, testing and evaluation, data integration, or statistical modeling.

You have experience identifying opportunities to expand client engagements and grow revenue, influencing client behaviour and decisions through coherent and consistently delivered advice. You excel at managing team deliverables across multiple work streams, setting the frameworks and processes used for task management and prioritization. You also thrive in a global operations context, working on multi‑disciplinary projects to drive data‑driven best practices and thought leadership.

Leveraging your leadership skills to supervise and develop a passionate team (including their work priorities, timelines, deliverables, and training) is something you’re looking for. And you’ll expose your team members to all Marketing Science sub‑disciplines to help develop their expertise.

You will:
  • Lead end-to-end measurement strategy across multiple accounts and campaign types
  • Develop smart, actionable measurement plans aligned to client objectives
  • Analyze performance across all channels and build and maintain dashboards to support ongoing reporting and decision‑making
  • Understand data, data management, data infrastructure, and marketing applications
  • Effectively communicate and present complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
  • Provide proven team and project management skills including training and staff development
  • Use empirical practice in digital experience design and optimization
  • Deliver complex projects involving multiple stages, components, and contributors in a timely manner
  • Creatively solve problems, improve processes, and design methodically
  • Work from the Toronto office on Mondays and Thursdays
You have:
  • 10+ years in the marketing industry
  • 5+ years focused on media analytics
  • 5+ years in the online measurement industry managing teams
  • Strong collaboration, project management, and team building skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to a variety of audiences, including creative, tech, media, project management, account, and client teams
  • Ability to distill large quantities of information into clear and concise insights to formulate actionable recommendations
  • Ability to articulate ideas and concepts in visually interesting and compelling formats
  • Proficiency in current issues and trends within the online marketing industry with an emphasis on emerging media and mobile platforms
  • Understanding of various analytics key performance metrics and tag/taxonomy management systems
  • Experience in leading an organization’s testing program, and expert knowledge of the market‑leading platforms and their strengths and weaknesses
  • Expert understanding of the media landscape, and extensive experience using data to assist in the creation and validation of media strategies and tactical plans
  • Knowledge of traditional, digital, and search advertising and how it is planned and executed
  • Hands‑on experience building dashboards in Looker (or similar BI tools)
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Salary Range: $115,000—$140,000 CAD
