As part of a dynamic team of 21 DBAs, you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering essential services to Alberta's healthcare system. This full-time position is for a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Services 4 professional, responsible for managing complex database operations and maintaining high availability. You will interact closely with various technical teams while undertaking tasks that include proactive security measures, data refreshes, and supporting application configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage database backups and failover procedures

• Monitor and ensure database security compliance

• Perform data refreshes for non-production environments

• Implement application/database configuration upgrades

• Provide on-call support and evening/weekend availability

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or related field

• 10+ years of DBA experience with Oracle on UNIX/Linux

• Strong communication and mentoring skills

• Experience with large database installations

• Knowledge of SAN storage and shell scripting
