Cybersecurity Operations Analyst at Whitecap

Join Whitecap Resources Inc. as an Intermediate Cybersecurity Operations Analyst and protect vital infrastructure while ensuring compliance in the energy sector. This role focuses on hands-on operational support and vulnerability management.

You will collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to provide tier 1 and 2 operational support, respond to alerts, and contribute to ongoing security projects. Your responsibilities will extend to deploying XDR sensors, managing identity protection measures, and conducting detailed vulnerability assessments to ensure a robust security framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily security operations by monitoring systems

• Engage in a 24/7 on-call rotation for incident responsiveness

• Execute vulnerability scans and enforce mitigations

• Manage SIEM for enhanced visibility and data management

• Maintain documentation and track security incidents

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years in a cybersecurity-focused role

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Deep understanding of networking and cloud concepts

• Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Relevant industry certifications preferred
