Our energy and resources client is seeking a Senior SAP Technical UX Designer to lead user experience design across a major SAP S/4
HANA modernization and field service transformation initiative.
The role focuses on creating intuitive, low-effort SAP workflows that drive user adoption and efficiency across corporate and field environments. This position delivers measurable impact by defining standardized UX patterns across S/4
HANA, Work Zone, and mobile platforms, optimizing SAP processes to fit standard capabilities. Candidates will have the opportunity to design experiences that directly influence enterprise usability and operational performance across a complex transformation landscape.
Duration:
Initial contract to the end of March with a possibility of extension
Working model:
Hybrid onsite within downtown Calgary (3 days onsite/ 2 days remote)
Must Haves
7+ years of experience in UX design for enterprise software or ERP transformation projectsHands-on expertise designing for SAP S/4
HANA
, SAP Fiori
, SAP UI5
, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)Strong proficiency using wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma or Adobe XDDemonstrated experience optimizing and designing end-to-end business workflows across applicationsExperience with user-centered design methodologies, design thinking, and usability testing processes (including low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes, design systems and UI specifications)Knowledge of mobile UX design (iOS/Android) and designing for field service or offline-capable applications (e.g. mobile workforce tools)Nice to Have
Knowledge of accessibility standards and responsive design principlesExperience with large-scale digital transformation programs in the energy or resources sectorBackground in collaborating with cross-functional product and development teams within SAP environmentsResponsibilities
Lead user research across office and field environments to identify workflows and pain pointsDesign end-to-end SAP workflows aligned to Fiori standards, minimizing customization and user frictionDevelop wireframes, prototypes, and detailed UX specifications supporting SAP S/4
HANA and mobile solutionsDefine and enforce consistent UX patterns across Work Zone, BTP, and mobile applicationsCollaborate with product owners, architects, and developers to align design with business and technical constraintsConduct usability testing and refine designs based on data and user feedbackSupport post-go-live enhancements through analytics and continuous improvement initiatives
