Our client is seeking Configuration Management Analyst to support Service Now CMDB governance and operational excellence.
Contract, % remote
Join a Global Service Assurance team responsible for Configuration Management governance, CMDB health, and operational excellence across a complex enterprise environment. This role partners with IT teams and managed service providers to ensure configuration data is accurate, trusted, and supports reliable business services.
Must have:
3+ years of experience supporting Configuration Management or IT Service Management processes within an enterprise IT environmentHands-on experience with Service Now CMDB, including Configuration Items (CIs), CMDB Health, Discovery, Service Mapping, and CI lifecycle managementStrong understanding of I
TIL Configuration Management principles, governance, and best practicesExperience improving CMDB data quality, audits, reconciliations, reporting, and process complianceExperience collaborating with cross-functional IT teams and managed service providers to support operational excellenceNice to have:
Experience with CSDM (Common Service Data Model) and Service Now micro-certificationsExperience collaborating with Change Management or Asset Management teamsExperience creating dashboards, reporting, and CMDB health metricsExperience developing Configuration Management standards, policies, and documentationPost-secondary education in Information Systems, Business, or a related disciplineResponsibilities:
Own the day-to-day Configuration Management process and support continuous improvement initiativesMaintain CMDB health, governance, data quality, and Configuration Item lifecycle managementPartner with IT teams and managed service providers to ensure accurate and complete configuration dataConfigure and support Service Now CMDB capabilities including Discovery, Service Mapping, and CI lifecycle policiesPerform audits, reconciliations, and reporting to improve CMDB integrity and complianceCollaborate with Change Management to assess the impact of infrastructure and application changesDevelop documentation, standards, and knowledge articles supporting Configuration Management best practicesIdentify opportunities to automate and improve Configuration Management processes
