The Faculty of Science seeks a Sessional Instructor for Data Science 221 in Fall 2026. Engage students in person and oversee teaching assistants in this critical course.
This role within the Department of Computer Science invites applications from individuals with a minimum of an MSc in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, with PhD candidates preferred. Your responsibilities will include instructing students on data analysis methods and ethical implications, and you will have the opportunity to shape their understanding of data science principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead lectures for Data Science 221
• Guide and supervise teaching assistants
• Develop course content and assessments
• Provide mentorship and support to students
• Evaluate and grade student performance
Requirements:
• At least MSc in Computer Science or related field
• Demonstrated teaching philosophy and experience
• Strong teaching dossier with evidence of practices
• Three letters of reference required
