Optiom Manager of Data Analytics

Elevate data management at Optiom, a specialty insurance MGA empowered by Aviva Canada. As the Manager of Data Architecture, shape an integrated data approach for improved insights.

This role involves hands-on leadership in data architecture, focusing on creating and maintaining a governed cloud platform. Reporting to the Director, you will oversee data models and analytics, turning fragmented datasets into a single source of truth while fostering cross-departmental collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain target data architecture in Snowflake

• Oversee master data management and data governance

• Lead the delivery of Power BI reporting for key business areas

• Define data integration patterns for core insurance systems

• Collaborate with teams to enable AI-ready data products

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years in data engineering or architecture

• Strong background in using modern cloud data platforms

• Experience delivering business intelligence to senior leaders

• Excellent SQL skills;
Python experience is a plus

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
