SAP Technical UX Designer - HYBRID

This role leads user experience design across the organizational transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4

HANA, alongside the introduction of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Work Zone, and mobile field service applications. The focus is on streamlining end-to-end user workflows for both office employees and field technicians while reducing cross-system friction and duplication. By heavily leveraging SAP Fiori standards and fit-to-standard principles, you will deliver highly scalable solutions that work within platform constraints and minimize the need for custom developments.

Responsibilities
1. User Research & Experience Design Lead user research and discovery efforts, conducting interviews, surveys, field observations, and workshops with office staff and field technicians. Synthesize raw research findings into functional personas, journey maps, and user requirement matrices to guide technical design choices. Design and optimize end-to-end user experiences across SAP S/4

HANA Fiori applications and mobile field tools. Create streamlined user flows, logical information architectures, and wireframes that reduce manual effort and system navigation. Develop low-fidelity and high-fidelity designs and prototypes aligned strictly with standard SAP Fiori design patterns.

2. Iterative Testing, Governance & Handoff Plan and execute usability tests and user feedback sessions on interactive prototypes and pre-release software components. Analyze test results to identify usability gaps, iteratively refining layouts to ensure accessibility and offline usability for field service personnel. Prepare comprehensive UX documentation, design specifications, user flows, and UI behavior guidelines for technical delivery. Collaborate closely with developers to resolve UI design questions, adjust wireframes for technical feasibility, and validate that the final build matches design intent.

Establish, define, and enforce consistent, reusable UX patterns across S/4

HANA, Work Zone, and mobile platforms to prevent interface fragmentation.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Adoption Partner daily with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Solution Architects to align design layout solutions with business processes and SAP platform constraints. Interface directly with IT developers, QA teams, and System Integrator (SI) vendors to maintain design integrity during build, test, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases. Contribute directly to change management and training initiatives by providing key inputs for user onboarding materials and in-app contextual help.

Monitor post-go-live user feedback and usage analytics data to identify continuous UX improvement opportunities and drive post-launch enhancements.

Qualifications
Core Experience & Education

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or a related field (Master’s degree is considered an asset).

Tenure: 5+ years of professional UX design experience, focused explicitly on enterprise software or highly complex technical systems.

Program Background:
Strong preference for candidates who have participated in large-scale digital transformation initiatives, such as enterprise ERP implementations.
