Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead AI governance reviews and implementing AI governance frameworks for enterprise AI programs

Calgary-based client. candidates can be % remote across Canada working MST hours

Must Haves

  • 10+ years in Program Management or Project Management aligned to PMI PMBOK practices within complex multi-business unit organizations
  • Experience with AI governance models
    , operating frameworks
    , decision-rights structures
    , and RACI development
  • Experience in AI risk
    , regulatory compliance frameworks
    , NIST AI RMF
    , OECD AI Principles
    , and Algorithmic Impact Assessments (AIA)
  • Previous experience in Government or Public Sector industry focusing on AI Governance

    • Nice to Have

  • Enterprise AI or digital transformation programs in public sector or regulated environments
  • Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, and Power Platform exposure
  • Generative AI governance including hallucination, bias, data leakage, and mitigation approaches
  • AI/ML lifecycle governance across data, model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring
  • Relevant Microsoft or AI/ML certifications

    • Responsibilities

  • Lead refinement and implementation of the AI governance framework
  • Define governance structures, decision rights, RACI models, and escalation paths
  • Implement AI intake, risk classification, and tiered review processes
  • Integrate privacy, legal, ethical, and human rights considerations across the AI lifecycle
  • Facilitate governance collaboration and executive decision-making
  • Design AI transparency and reporting frameworks
  • Establish scalable governance processes for enterprise AI adoption
