Job Description:

• Required Skills:
  
  We are seeking a candidate who is early in their oil and gas production accounting career and eager to grow their expertise by joining a team of five analysts. This team provides end-user support for Petrinex across Western Canada. The position is based on-site in downtown Calgary, Alberta.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will assist Petrinex application users with:

• Providing step-by-step guidance for specific production accounting tasks within the application
• Performing initial diagnosis and assisting in resolving incidents using the knowledge base
• Accurately diagnosing and resolving predefined incident types
• Responding to emails in a timely and professional manner
• Providing clients with relevant contact numbers when required
• Sharing contact information for government ministries and industry bodies
• Assisting clients in navigating various government web pages

Application Testing Support:

• Assisting in testing the monthly release of the application
• Creating test cases
• Executing test cases and recording results

Incident Management:

• Using incident management tools to document client interactions
• Assigning issues to second-level Subject Matter Experts when necessary
• Tracking trends and escalating recurring issues to management
• Keeping clients informed on the status of their issues

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Registration in or completion of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting (CAPPA) certification
• Practical experience with Petrinex is an asset
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Strong communication skills
• This is an urgent Business Desk Analyst requirement to replace one of the contractors. This is not a standard IT Service Desk position; it is a niche, client-specific role focused on oil and gas production accounting.

Working Hours:

• 7:30 AM 4:00 PM MT or 8:00 AM 4:30 PM MT
• Background verification is required.
