AI Agent Strategy Senior Advisor

Shape the future of AI at Alberta Energy Regulator as a Senior Advisor, AI Agent Strategy & Development Standards. Drive innovation with hands-on expertise in Microsoft and OpenAI technologies.

As a key member of the Digital Enablement and Artificial Intelligence team, this full-time role entails defining the enterprise strategy for AI agents. You will set standards for AI development, orchestration, and citizen-built agent promotion at the AER. Your work will influence how Alberta's regulatory framework embraces AI agents in solving unmet industry challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the enterprise AI agent strategy for the AER

• Define comprehensive development and oversight standards

• Manage agent inventory metadata for the AI Register

• Create a methodology for citizen development programs

• Evaluate agent development platforms for fit and effectiveness

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields; AI postgraduate study advantageous

• Over 10 years in software development and technology strategy

• Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Power Platform

• Ability to set unestablished industry standards and strategies

• Familiarity with OpenAI Codex and Anthropic Claude Code
