As a GIS Student, you will engage with the Mining, Environment, and Regulatory teams.
Your role will involve building application maps, managing spatial data, and understanding leading-edge environmental regulations. This position offers valuable hands-on experience with industry-standard software, including ArcGIS and FME.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and file required spatial data for regulatory teams
• Manage and organize existing GIS environmental data
• Use ArcGIS Map and Global Mapper for data digitization
• Develop GIS solutions and models for environmental needs
• Assist with non-spatial data management using MS Office
Requirements:
• Enrolled in a GIS degree or applied diploma program
• Strong understanding of ESRI products and applications
• Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities
• Field data collection experience with ArcGIS is an asset
• Knowledge of remote sensing methods and data processing
