WestJet Senior Analyst for Data Platforms

Join West Jet as a Senior Analyst for Data Platforms, specializing in data governance and optimization for platforms like Power BI and Snowflake. Collaborate on-site to enhance data capacity and performance.
Reporting directly to the Manager of Data Platforms, you'll play a critical role in overseeing enterprise data solutions. Your responsibilities include optimizing power consumption and identifying key datasets. You will also guide teams to use platforms efficiently while mentoring analysts and delivering training on best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage enterprise data platforms and support optimization efforts

• Audit and optimize Power BI and Fabric capacity usage

• Recommend governance practices and best deployment patterns

• Mentor analysts and educate users in platform functionalities

• Develop dashboards for platform observability and governance
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in a technical field or equivalent practical experience

• Minimum of 5 years in BI, data analytics, or cloud environments

• Extensive experience with Power BI and Snowflake

• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages

• Strong ability to present complex concepts clearly
