Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 890,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through a dual pipeline system of more than 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington state.

Trans Mountain is seeking a collaborative, motivated, and values - driven individual to join our dynamic team as an IT Enterprise and Business Solutions Co-op Student (12-month term). In this position, you will support application modernization, business application support, reporting, and information management activities for the Solutions Delivery & Support team.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, technical, communication, and organizational skills, with an interest in M365, the Power Platform, enterprise systems, and data analytics. This position offers the opportunity to gain practical experience supporting critical IT systems, modernization initiatives, reporting tools, and information governance in a fast‑paced corporate environment.

This position is based in our Calgary office and will report to the Director, Solutions Delivery & Support.

Duration:
January 11, 2027, to December 18, 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in Application Modernization projects focused on implementing core systems that support critical business operations.
• Provide hands‑on support for business applications, including Vista and other enterprise systems, by logging, triaging, and documenting service tickets, assisting with user onboarding and access requests, and maintaining support and knowledge‑based documentation.
• Assist with Power BI and M365 reporting, perform data‑quality checks, and support information governance and records cleanup activities under the Information Management Operations function.

Qualifications and Professional Experience

• Must be enrolled in a post‑secondary program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Enrollment in your institution's co‑op program is a requirement.
• Interest in enterprise applications, application support, data analytics, information management, or digital transformation.
• Experience or coursework related to Microsoft 365, Power BI, Power Platform, SharePoint, data analysis, service‑ticketing processes, or business application support is considered an asset.
