Position: Functional Analyst for Energy Systems
Join the Alberta Electric System Operator as a Functional Analyst in their hybrid work setting. Support the Enspire applications suite, enhancing Alberta's electricity market through technical and operational excellence.

In this full-time role, you will report to the Team Lead of Energy Settlement System. You'll engage with cross-functional teams, focusing on Agile product delivery, business requirements gathering, and market system enhancements. Your past experience as a developer or analyst, especially within the electric utility sector, will be critical as you contribute to both application operations and ongoing improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Technical Teams

• Design and develop applications using JavaScript and Python

• Maintain SQL queries and database scripts

• Support testing and implementation activities

• Resolve application and system issues promptly

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, IT, or related field

• 5+ years in a technical analyst or related role

• Experience with Agile product teams and methodologies

• Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and SQL

• Familiarity with Azure App Service and CI/CD processes
