Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is actively hiring for an Intern to join the Leak Detection team. This position reports to the Supervisor, Leak Detection in the Information Services Unit (ISU), part of Pembina’s Legal, People & Corporate Affairs division.
Pembina's Information Services Unit manages and maintains the company's infrastructure, provides technical support, ensures data security and accessibility, implements new technology, strategies for future development, manages vendors, and ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This is a 12-month contract position starting in May 2027.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Perform role‑specific responsibilities such as develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), applications/scripts, and reports for monitoring leak detection and batch tracking, test pipeline simulators, and document non-Computational Pipeline Monitoring (CPM) leak test results. This may also include participating in a project and presenting outcomes or learnings at the end of the term;
- Support day‑to‑day work and learning activities related to leak detection, batch tracking, and pipeline simulator data gathering, analysis, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation, using tools such as AVEVA Process Information (PI) System, Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI), AVEVA Enterprise SCADA, Synergi Pipeline Simulator (SPS), Geographic Information System (GIS), Microsoft Office, AI applications, and other applicable systems;
