Our smart storage monitoring and early spoilage detection help growers and processors reduce shrink, protect fry colour, and optimize movement timing across multi-site operations. Deployed across North America, the platform analyzes 1.5M+ storage datasets and (publicly reported) monitors 900M+ lb of potatoes. • Drive hands-on field impact: Your installs, commissioning, and troubleshooting keep storages healthy across North America—real sites, real results.
• Build better deployments: Standardize, and streamline setup flows;
• Understand the complete product stack: From devices and connectivity to cloud dashboards—work with product/software/data teams to validate end-to-end integrity.

As the Hardware and IoT Operations Lead,
you own the end-to-end operations of the Cellar Insights hardware fleet. Our customers love us because you are exceptional at making sure our deployed systems just work. You are responsible for:

• Source & Configure Hardware: Set up and provision IoT networks, devices, sensors, and supporting systems.
• Manage Supplier Relationships: Build strong vendor partnerships to source reliable, high-quality IoT components.
• Deliver White-Glove Support: Provide exceptional hardware and IT assistance to ensure total customer satisfaction.
• Lead On-Site Deployments: Plan, schedule, and execute site installations, commissioning, and hands-on troubleshooting.
• Ensure Field Connectivity: Oversee active IoT devices to maintain seamless cellular and LoRaWAN network performance.
• Optimize Workflows: Standardize deployment procedures, document processes, and automate repetitive tasks.
• Partner with Engineering: Collaborate with development teams to verify data flow, system reliability, and overall integrity.
• Track Operations & Inventory: Keep detailed, organized records of device inventory, provisioning, and support history.
• Engage with Clients: Travel to client facilities to offer direct support and build strong working relationships.
• Scale the Team: Grow and guide the hardware installation team with supportive, effective leadership.

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience setting up, provisioning, deploying, and troubleshooting IoT hardware, sensors, and embedded systems in real-world environments.
• Proven track record of managing active IoT device fleets utilizing cellular connectivity and LoRaWAN communication networks.
• Demonstrated passion for delivering white-glove field service and outstanding technical support directly to end users.
• Skilled at translating frontline customer feedback into actionable insights for the product lifecycle.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with enthusiasm for travel and hands-on field deployments.
• Valid driver's license and readiness for site visits.

• Basic embedded programming (C/C++ or Python).
• Experience scripting or automating deployment/configuration tasks.
• Knowledge of industrial or agricultural IoT.
• Experience designing and implementing stand-alone IoT hardware, including cellular-enabled devices.
