Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the roleWe are looking for a Data Analyst II for a 12-month temporary position. If you are passionate about data, innovation, automation, and solving complex problems, this opportunity will allow you to have a tangible impact on the analytical future of LCC.
The Projects and Data team within the Civil Liability and Legal Services for Compensation (LCC) division transforms data into visual narratives that bring information to life. Through strategy, analytics, governance, and national project management, we convert complex data into actionable insights that directly influence business decisions, strategic initiatives, and operational performance.
We are currently at the forefront of a major transformation of our analytics ecosystem with the adoption of Databricks. Over the coming months, our priority will be to lay the groundwork for this new platform, working closely with the Claims Actuarial (CDAT) and Claims Finance teams, as well as LCC’s business partners. Together, we are modernizing our reporting, automating our analytical solutions, and pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve with data.
In this role, you will transform raw data into high-quality analytical datasets, develop and maintain reports in Databricks, and collaborate closely with LCC business analysts, business partners, and the CDAT and Finance teams.
What You’ll Accomplish with Us- Develop, optimize, and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions for the Liability and Claims Legal (LCC) department, primarily in the Databricks environment.
- Design, produce, and publish reports for various stakeholders across the organization.
- Monitor, identify, and analyze performance trends; explain observed variances; and make recommendations to drive results and productivity.
- Consolidate data from multiple sources while ensuring its quality, integrity, and reliability.
- Create and maintain a data inventory, and support the tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Proactively identify new data sources and data elements to enrich the analysis of performance and business trends.
- Analyze, synthesize, and present information in a clear, concise manner tailored to various audiences within the LCC.
- Produce and maintain high-quality documentation to support training, the implementation of best practices, and process standardization.
- Collaborate with claims and LCC project teams to develop new Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Respond to ad hoc analysis and reporting needs as they arise.
- Work closely with key data teams, including Actuarial, CDAT, and LCC project managers.
- Actively contribute to the evolution, modernization, and adoption of Databricks within the organization.
