SQL Server database administration expertise meets a hybrid Montreal schedule, with three onsite days and two remote days each week. Apply advanced performance tuning and operational support.
This SQL Server Database Administrator manages core DBA activities across database servers and processes. The position handles upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, alerts, monitoring, and real-time issue correction. It also supports developers through query tuning and schema refinement.
Key Responsibilities:- Configure and maintain SQL Server database servers and processes
- Manage upgrades, migrations, patches, backups, and scheduled maintenance
- Monitor health, performance, availability, sustainability, and security
- Analyze and correct database issues in real time
- Automate processes, document changes, and support deployments
- At least five years as a SQL Server DBA
- SQL Server administration experience required
- Performance Tuning and Optimization experience
- Hands-on backups, restores, and recovery models experience
- High Availability and Disaster Recovery experience
