As a Scheduling Analyst, you will report to the Team Lead, Scheduling and play a key role in shaping and delivering the success of major Power Delivery projects. Your expertise will influence project timelines, resource planning, and overall performance. You will partner closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Construction teams to develop, maintain, and optimize project schedules, analyze schedule performance, forecast outcomes, and provide insights that drive informed decisions.
MajorResponsibilities
- Partner with Project Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to develop optimized resource‑loaded schedules for various projects.
- Develop, maintain, analyze, and communicate schedule commitments, associated changes, resource allocation, and forecast reports.
- Manage the weekly schedule, forecast schedule changes, and proactively identify issues affecting project timelines.
- Monitor, evaluate, and reconcile project and resource schedule data to provide accurate and timely information against KPIs.
- Coordinate preparation, consolidation, and analysis of scheduling reports.
- Interface with key internal project team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency in schedule performance tracking and reporting.
- Chair the Planning, Scheduling and Execution weekly resource meetings, provide visibility of coming weeks and identify resource demand over/under‑allocation.
- Recommend remedial action for deviations, develop mitigation plans or corrective measures.
- Seek Project Manager’s approval for changes to schedule baseline and new forecasted dates/performance.
- Develop innovative strategies to solve resourcing issues through complex analysis.
- Support the project lifecycle through schedule development, monitoring, and controls.
- Provide schedule expertise during internal and external audits.
- Facilitate schedule change control practices and participate in improvements to scheduling processes, approaches, and techniques.
- University Degree in a related field with a minimum of 4years related experience, or related diploma with a minimum of 6years related experience.
- PMI member – Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
- 7years of related experience in cost and scheduling in an engineering, project management, construction or utility environment.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in Primavera P6 and MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Project).
- Experience developing, executing, and monitoring resource‑loaded schedules, WBS and project plans.
- Broad knowledge of project management, process management, engineering, and construction practices.
- Advanced Project Controls expertise related to cost and schedule development and project planning and estimation.
- Full understanding of project life cycle, EPC, EPCC, EPCM across a broad range of project controls principals, practices, and procedures.
- Data analysis experience; proficiency with Power BI, MAXAVERA and MAXIMO considered an asset.
- Build strong working relationships across teams by sharing information openly and collaborating to achieve project outcomes.
- Communicate complex information clearly and use data‑driven insights to influence decisions and align stakeholders.
- Take responsibility for delivering accurate work, follow through on commitments, and ensure issues are resolved effectively.
- Apply critical thinking to analyze data, identify risks and trends, and develop practical solutions to project challenges.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and timelines, remaining flexible and effective in a dynamic work environment.
