Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, location etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
** About the role
** We are looking for a
** Commercial Insurance Advisor
** to join our Commercial team!

In this role, you will be responsible for renewals, sales, prospecting and servicing an existing commercial book of business. You will establish a climate of trust, develop and maintain a strong client list, close commercial sales, and provide excellent and timely customer service. This includes acting as a liaison between the customer and the carrier in the event of a claim.

** is based in our
** Strathmore, AB** (100 Ranch Market) office.
** What you’ll do here:
*** Service on-going client needs, advise on insurance matters, conduct needs assessment, recommend solutions, answer inquiries, conduct care calls and process renewals.
* Sell new policies to new and existing clients and retain your book of business.
* Manage daily workflows: process emails, activities, calls (inbound and outbound), and renewal lists in a timely manner.
* Contact Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy.
* Prepare documentation for insurers, completing applications for clients, issue insurance certificates, process changes and review renewals.
* Keep current on underwriting rules and workflow processes.
* Actively participate in training initiatives.
* Participate in community marketing initiatives.
** What you bring to the table:
*** Prior P&C insurance sales experience required;
Commercial and/or Farm insurance experience is an asset.
* Valid AIC Level I or II General Insurance License required.
* Valid Alberta driver’s licence; occasional travel in and out of town.
* Strong customer focus and sales acumen.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Collaborative approach with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
