SENIOR COMMERCIAL UNDERWRITER – Construction THE EMPLOYER

• Global specialty insurance company with a presence in Canada for over 55 years
• Dedicated to investing in employees through incentives, comprehensive benefits and employee development

• Reviews applications and financial requirements for risks requiring complex underwriting skills
• Determines acceptability of risk in accordance with company guidelines and standards
• Prepares quotes and answers questions from brokers, policyholders or external contacts
• Analyzes quality, quantity, and profitability of risks underwritten and prepares reports for management review
• Markets products and services through the brokerage community and makes field visits
• Keeps current on provincial and federal issues and regulations, industry activity and trends

• University degree; CIP or FCIP designation
• Strong presentation skills for groups of varying sizes
• Proficient risk management solutions provider
• Able to work both independently and within a team
• Professional approach with a keen business sense of client’s needs
• Demonstrated high level of technical expertise and product specific knowledge
