The Opportunity

A well-established, boutique insurance brokerage in Calgary is seeking a Commercial Insurance Advisor to support and manage a book of small commercial and IBU-focused accounts
.

This role is suited for someone who values relationship-driven insurance
, consistency, and long-term client retention over high-volume transactional work. The successful candidate will primarily handle smaller commercial accounts with training available for those who are earlier in their commercial career.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage and service a book of small commercial insurance accounts

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing consistent and proactive service

  • Handle renewals, endorsements, coverage reviews, and day-to-day client inquiries

  • Work closely with internal admin staff and an in-house underwriting resource for support

  • Market and place business with multiple insurers and portals

  • Build strong, long-term client relationships in a referral-driven environment

  • Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented office culture

  • What We’re Looking For

  • 1-5 years of brokerage experience in commercial lines (Level II preferred; Level I considered)

  • Familiarity working with multiple insurers and policy types

  • Comfortable handling smaller commercial risks; no fleets or large complex accounts

  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship management skills

  • Willingness to work fully in-office as part of a close-knit team

  • Experience with broker management systems and Microsoft Office (specific systems can be learned)
