Property Underwriter

Position: Large Property Underwriter
Join the Americas’ Property Underwriting team as a Large Property Underwriter. This role focuses on securing profitable business opportunities while collaborating with clients, brokers, and internal teams across Canada.

You will be involved in developing customized solutions in line with underwriting best practices.

Your role includes crucial interactions with clients, forging new broker relationships, and evaluating risk premiums to ensure profitability. Engage in effective sales strategies, manage renewals, and coach junior colleagues to build a strong team dynamic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop tailor-made risk transfer solutions for clients

• Procure new business through effective marketing strategies

• Evaluate risk premiums and underwriting costs

• Negotiate successful close of new business and renewals

• Foster relationships with renewal clients

Requirements:

• Moderate underwriting experience and technical knowledge

• Understanding of global and domestic property underwriting

• Large account experience preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

• Excellent analytical and communication skills
