Commercial Lines Underwriting Assistant

Become a key player in underwriting with Intact as a Commercial Lines Underwriting Assistant in Calgary, AB. This temporary position focuses on supporting underwriting teams and managing business processes.

Intact is seeking a dedicated Commercial Lines Underwriting Assistant for a 12-month temporary role in Calgary. Collaborate closely with underwriters to achieve national goals while interacting positively with brokers. With at least one year in the insurance industry, you will manage workflows, process business documentation, and contribute to team objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and amend new business and renewals

• Refer complex risks to underwriters for assessment

• Prepare new business files accurately

• Build positive relationships with brokers and coworkers

• Assist in training and developing junior staff

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of insurance industry experience

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Actively pursuing CIP designation (asset)

• Must be eligible to work in Canada
