The Role

WhatYou’ll Do
- Work closely with clients to deliver extraordinary value by identifying exposures, determining the appropriate solution and advising the client as to why the solution is the best fit.
- Develop marketing specifications and remarketing strategies for renewals of an assigned book of business.
- Network within the local community by attending industry events, training and other outreach.
- Provide professional and prompt customer service including phone and email on new and existing client accounts, covering topics such as coverage, billing, reporting of claims, audits, endorsements and cancellations.
- Be the lead in maintaining positive, long‑term relationships with clients, insurance carrier representatives and NFP staff.
- AB licensing is required; additional licences would be considered an asset.
- Typically, more than 2 years of commercial insurance and product line experience – servicing, broking or underwriting.
- Experience in the placement of various lines of coverage on SME to Mid‑Market accounts.
- Confident, poised and interactive – when client‑facing, communicates effectively, demonstrates emotional intelligence and tailors responses in dynamic situations.
- Proven technical competency and creativity demonstrating excellence in developing and delivering innovative property and casualty solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to adjust to changing workload and priorities.
- Sharp attention to detail and excellent decision‑making skills.
- Excellent computer skills; EPIC fluency is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products – specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
