Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
About the roleAs a Property Claims Consultant in our Specialty Lines team, you will handle Entertainment Property Damage claims from our Entertainment Program. In addition to this, you may handle some traditional and renewable Energy Commercial Property claims and Equipment Breakdown claims, including those from our Global Network.
What you’ll do here:- Investigate and evaluate complex Property, including Entertainment Property Damage, and Equipment Breakdown claims to determine coverage and liability
- Conduct thorough and timely investigations, including gathering and analyzing relevant information and documentation
- Communicate with policyholders, brokers, and other parties involved in the claims process to gather information and provide updates on the status of claims
- Negotiate and settle claims in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Attend mediations and trials as required
- Utilize knowledge of insurance contracts and industry standards to determine appropriate coverage and settlement amounts
- Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, including documentation of all activities and decisions made
- Leverage your expertise in a creative, continuous improvement environment to support a model of best practice operations
- Collaborate with other departments and teams within the company to ensure efficient and effective claims handling
- Identify and investigate potential fraudulent claims and take appropriate actionli>
- Deliver and exceed on all key performance indicators
