Salary range (but not limited to):

64,100 - 78,300

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

7.5%

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

We're looking for a Claims Representative II - Accident Benefits Special Handling Unit (SHU), to join our growing team!

• Coordinate investigations into potential fraud, misrepresentation, and/or exaggeration within Accident Benefit Claims
• Collect evidence and analyze information to determine liability and coverage, including statements, independent medical examinations, customer medical documents and employment documents, claims documents, witness testimony, police reports, and all other information required to clarify and/or justify a claim
• Identify fraud indicators and effectively coordinate investigative, medical, and legal resources to validate indicators and make decisions on liability and coverage
• Communicate in a timely and respectful manner with customers, claimants and lawyers when making decisions on coverage, reporting findings, and settling claims
• Pursuing fair and equitable resolutions to customer disputes, complaints and escalations
• Participate and/or lead project work, by working with members of the Investigative Services and Claims departments to deliver on project goals
• Ensure all claims and investigations are clearly documented and meet all legislative requirements

• University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role
• A minimum of 1 years of experience as Adjuster Accident Benefits claims or equivalent investigations experience
• Can handle or oversee moderate to complex investigations
• Can communicate and negotiate effectively
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Keen eye for detail
• Comfortability providing coaching and training
