As an Underwriter, you'll support the Alberta & Prairies Region by managing renewals and seeking new Middle Market business. Your expertise will drive client engagement and underwriting processes while ensuring compliance with Liberty's standards. This role emphasizes proactive market activities and continuous development in underwriting knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
• Underwrite and maintain a portfolio of Middle Market accounts
• Drive new business growth and proactive marketing engagement
• Manage broker relationships with regular marketing activities
• Collaborate across Liberty business units for multi-line opportunities
• Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines and documentation
Requirements:
• 2-4 years of experience in commercial P&C underwriting
• University degree or relevant insurance education preferred
• Strong understanding of P&C policy and pricing trends
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
• Action-oriented with strong decision-making abilities
