Sovereign Insurance, a subsidiary of The Co-operators General Insurance Company, is seeking an experienced Claims Examiner for its National Commercial Auto team. The successful candidate will evaluate coverage and negotiate claims, while applying company guidelines and legislation. This pivotal role allows you to develop your skills further by cross-training in Injury, Liability, and Property claims.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate commercial auto claims and assess coverage

• Guide adjusters and vendors in claim handling

• Apply negotiation tactics and claims procedures effectively

• Maintain reserving in line with corporate policies

• Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-5 years of commercial claims experience

• University Degree or College Diploma preferred

• Experience in Commercial Auto claims is an asset

• Knowledge of insurance policies and procedures

• CIP coursework completion is a plus
