Apply analytical and numerical skills as an Associate Group Underwriter at Sun Life in a hybrid work model. Assess insurance risk and pricing for clients.
This associate-level position supports Group Life, Disability, Health, Dental, and Critical Illness benefits. You will complete renewals, quotations, and client requests while developing knowledge of underwriting guidelines, pricing methodologies, systems, tools, and the marketplace. The work balances client needs, growth, and profit.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete renewals, quotations, and client requests within service standards
Assess risk and determine pricing and contractual conditions
Partner with sales teams on renewals and quotations
Provide creative solutions addressing group benefits risk and cost
Complete the CEBS Group Benefits Associate certificate within three years
Requirements:
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Thoughtful judgment for unique decision-making situations
Microsoft and Excel application proficiency
Strong organization and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional teamwork skills
Build Group Benefits underwriting expertise through risk selection, pricing, client communication, and sales partnership at Sun Life.
