Position: Legal Counsel with IRC
Embark on a fulfilling legal career with Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC) in Calgary, AB, as Legal Counsel. This role focuses on corporate law and complex legal operations for an organization dedicated to community benefits.

IRC is looking for an emerging lawyer with 2–3 years of experience and a Juris Doctor to join its Corporate Legal team. The successful candidate will directly support the Senior Counsel and engage in various legal matters, including corporate governance and major infrastructure projects. This position offers the chance to shape processes and leverage technology, impacting the legal landscape within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on corporate and commercial transactions

• Oversee legal operations and contract management

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects

• Draft legal documents for various business functions

• Engage in decision-making for Indigenous initiatives

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor from a recognized institution

• 2–3 years of post-call experience

• Proven skills in drafting and negotiation

• Membership in a Canadian Law society

• A commitment to ongoing professional growth
