The successful candidate will bring strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to adapt expediting strategies based on project priorities and supplier performance.
Responsibilities Monitor purchase orders and proactively drive the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and documentation, identifying risks early and supporting recovery actions to maintain project schedules.
Oversee all deliverables including technical documentation, inspection and testing requirements, and material readiness to ensure alignment with project and commercial milestones.
Adjust expediting intensity throughout the purchase order lifecycle based on project needs, supplier performance, and identified risks.
Act as a central point of contact between suppliers, sub-suppliers, and internal stakeholders including Procurement, Engineering, Project Management, and Logistics.
Engage suppliers through regular communication (calls, meetings, and site visits) to track progress, address issues, and ensure milestone commitments are achieved.
Manage purchase order changes in accordance with established processes and proactively escalates risks related to delivery, receipt, or invoicing discrepancies.
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments across all transportation modes, ensuring materials are delivered to the correct location and on time.
Maintain accurate tracking, reporting, and documentation within SAP, SharePoint, and other internal systems to support visibility and decision-making.
Support purchase order closeout activities, ensuring all contractual, delivery, and documentation requirements are met, including final document turnover and system updates.
Provide expediting support across multiple regions, adapting to varying project requirements and timelines.
Coordinate and facilitate meetings and alignment sessions to support effective communication and project execution.
Adhere to all HSE standards, company policies, and applicable procedures.
Requirements University degree with 3–5 years of related experience, or 7–9 years of combined education and relevant experience.
Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and influence outcomes.
Experience acting as a procurement representative or single point of contact (SPOC).
Strong computer skills; SAP experience is considered an asset.
Knowledge of EPC environments, heavy industry expediting, or maintenance planning is an asset.
Demonstrated ability to build strong supplier and stakeholder relationships.
Experience driving collaboration, continuous improvement, and procurement best practices.
Results-oriented with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
