Supply Chain Coordinator
Work schedule:
Monday to Friday with regular after‑hours support required.
The incumbent will serve as the Company’s Supply Chain Coordinator and will lead all purchasing and supply chain activities for the Company’s Canadian operations. This role requires a combination of management‑level forecasting, planning, and reporting as well as hands‑on execution of repetitive administrative tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities- Purchase a variety of commodities, equipment, and services, establishing and maintaining contracts and effective vendor relationships.
- Manage strong supplier relationships to support quality, cost, and service‑level goals.
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance through regular meetings and evaluations.
- Onboard new suppliers and maintain documentation and approvals.
- Manage supplier payments, deposits, and invoice discrepancy resolution with the Finance team.
- Plan purchases based on operational schedules and forecasts.
- Handle import logistics and prepare customs documentation.
- Ensure accurate receiving processes and documentation in internal systems.
- Drive cost‑saving initiatives and supplier optimization projects.
- Strengthen supply chain resiliency through proactive risk identification and mitigation.
- Conduct surveillance of manufacturers and vendors to ensure compliance with contract specifications and delivery requirements.
- Manage materials planning, forecasting, and inventory levels to balance warehousing costs and supply continuity.
- Coordinate the movement, pickup, and delivery of equipment and materials, resolving in‑transit issues and claims.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Relevant post‑secondary credentials or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in a supply chain position.
- Extensive experience with purchasing.
- Experience providing technical expertise in procurement and inventory management for an industrial setting.
- Experience working in a drilling or manufacturing company.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Teams, and MS Excel.
- Experience with inventory control, stock levels, and receiving processes.
- Key personal attributes: strong attention to detail and record accuracy, organizational abilities, effective communication and problem‑solving skills, reliability and ability to prioritize competing demands, adaptability and ability to work independently and in team settings, proactive and results‑driven focus on supporting production readiness.
