Our energy & resources client is seeking a Senior Buyer (10+ years) to lead material procurement management using SAP and supply chain processes.

Join a supply chain team supporting procurement activities within the oil & gas sector. This role leads material procurement, supplier coordination, bid analysis, and purchase order management across assigned projects and material commodities. The position works closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers supporting interstate natural gas pipe, valves, fittings, and related categories.

• 10+ years in material procurement, supply chain, and buyer functions
• SAP experience within a Buyer role
• RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, bid analysis, and commercial evaluation activities
• Interstate natural gas pipe, valves, fittings, and supplier relationship management

• Bill of materials and technical specification review
• Cost driver, supplier performance, and industry trend analysis
• Process improvement and savings opportunity development

• Lead material procurement management for assigned projects and material commodities
• Conduct bid analysis and commercial evaluations of supplier proposals
• Develop, issue, and manage RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
• Coordinate technical evaluations with project clients
• Serve as the single point of contact for purchase orders within the assigned area
• Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders including engineering, project teams, Legal, and Risk
• Develop and present recommendations regarding cost drivers, supplier performance, and industry trends
